Steamboat ride up the Tanana river /Susan Butcher

Mr. Butcher is continuing on with his wife Susan's love for the dog sledding. She was a 4 time winner and passed away last summer from cancer. He is raising and training the dogs as seen by all the dogs and the team attached to the fore runner. He spoke to us as we passed on the riverboat.

The mode of transportation along the river is the floatplane like Mr. Butcher is flying here.
