Across Texas into Arkansas

A very narrow bridge in Arkansas. Fortunately we were out in the truck and not the coach.
This house in Farmington Arkansas has some really neat stairs. Double click to see the architecture of them. Two views of the house follow.

All the rain storms have caused flooding across Arkansas. There is water standing everywhere.
Many of the campsites were full of adjusters in Texas and Arkansas for the hail and rain damage.
Don't want to speed in Arkansas especially in something as big and obvious as the coach.

Near my aunt's farm is a very happy "barn".
Bil is trying to make friends of the ducks across the country. Do you suppose he misses Bill and Hillary in the Rancho park?

Texas claims everything big --look at these ants and the worm below.
the worm is in and out of the ground it is so long.

The sun as seen through the dust in the air. You could look right at it.

The wind here is so bad sometimes if your coach sits to long it is covered in dust which becomes a hill over it. Ah but think of the extra warmth in winter and a break from the heat of summer.

and of course when it is buried you have to landscape it.

A trip to Texas is not complete without time in the park with our granddaughter Pam.

Trying to fly a kite.
The wild flowers are beautiful this time of year.

Az - to New Mexico through Texas

Sometimes there are things bigger than you and you have to move over and give them a wide birth.
One of the city signs in Tatum TX. Rather novel signs for the town streets.
We had strong winds on the way to Arlington. The wind was behind us so we got very good mileage.
One must always check the hand brake before towing. It is rather hard on the tires. But you might be surprised at how many people wave to you in a short period of time. Two new/used tires and rims later we were on the road again. Another of lives lessons on the road.
We relieved the girls of cat duty and took her along this year. She found a place to travel by the door and has settled into the nomad life quite nicely.

An old hilltop stone house in Whites AZ just outside of Carlsbad Caverns.

An early Indian cave in the rocks that sheltered thier families, in the National Park
A trip through El Paso on the way to New Mexico.

A couple of views from our campground in Quartzite AZ. Starting our third year across country.
