Tennessee and Arkansas

Beautiful Mammoth Springs near Batesville Arkansas.

We ran across an old grist mill on one of our drives. It is still producing good drinkable water.

A neat old stone house seen along the way.
Yes there are still outhouses in some parts of the country. His or hers as seen by the couple on the wall.
This is the road to one of my cousins houses.--Just a little off the road.
Garage sale or yard art, it is sometimes hard to tell.
Carved Indian in this old tree. Neat work of art country style.

We ran across a site of movie props in the back country.

This house was in one of the towns near Batesville Arkansas. Double click to enlarge and see the stuffed people on the balcony.

My cousin took us on a short hike to this cave in Arkansas. There was a layer of fog in the cave. It was a nice respite from the heat and humidity of the day.
My cousin in the cave.

Bil on the walk back to the car.
Bil and I in the cave with the fog behind us.

Shiloh Cemetery and battlefield
One of the many monuments to honor the fallen.
Military demonstration.
The Confederate dead were honored.
These are some of the many military artifacts embedded in the ground and sidewalks near the museum.

The big guns were everywhere on the grounds.
Great bronze artwork on the way to the Shiloh museum.
There is always time for my four legged friends, especially those with spots.
Bil spotted this funky car going down the street.
For a minute we thought we were in Vegas, but another look showed it was just a copy of the Pyramid.
