Glacier National Park

This sign describes a hanging valley glacier area from the regular glacieal areas. Double click to read the sign it is quite interesting.
This is an example of a hanging valley.
This is the regular glaciers - note the floor goes to a "V" shape.
Global warming?? This glacier started shrinking in 1860 and could continue or make a comeback. Double click to read the info. You may need to magnify it as well.
This is one of the beautiful lakes in the park and a sample of the scenery.
This is just a neat rock formation that was beside the road in the park.
This Osprey has a "birds eye view" for it's lunch below. They nest near lakes as all they eat are fish.
