Redding and the Lassen Park area

A plaque to one of the old towns we discovered along the way to Lassen.
The old station post office was said to be the smallest post office in the states -founded in the early 1900's and was used until 1947 when a new one was opened down the road.
a look across Manzanita lake
Mount Lassen and how we would have liked t have seen it-however we had rain and clouds so we had to settle for their picture of it.
This was our view of Hat mountain not nearly as high as Lassen, but still a high mountain of snow.

A look at Lassen Park as we head up to see the Peak.
We found a considerable amount of snow even though it was in the 50's.
Manzanita lake and a couple of log looking figures.
We saw this sing on the way to Redding-Who do you suppose they are talking about????
We found a casitas for the girls when they are ready to travel with us.
