remaining in CA longer & making the most of it

A trip to the Lancaster area provided lots of flowers and snow covered mountains. There is a Poppy Reserve about 15 miles out of Lancaster, but plenty of photo ops before you arrive at the Reserve.

The road home with Mt Baldy in the background.

A trip to the Anza Borrego Desert area to see some wild flowers and a glider plane airport.

Glider plane being pulled into the air.
And he is off and flying or is it gliding as soon as the puller drops the line.
Flowers seen along the drive in the desert.

We found some desert art in the Galleta Meadows Estates area. To see more on this go to www.galletameadows.com and look at the gallery. This is just a sample, there are many large statues in this area.

Bil's wrist and the reason we linger in CA. He tripped & fell breaking his right wrist. It required surgery to put him back together again.

below you can see the break in the bone. Look at the left side of the wrist, his wrist moved to the right about a 1/2 inch.

The new car and the cast. It was while picking up the car that he took his "trip".
