More of the cruise and the animals

This "lion' was the camp dog - he looked a little strange and from a distance could look like a bighorn sheep due to the ears
The Tanaina was the ship we took to the glacier and very comfortable to cruise on .
an Orca as it goes back into the sea
these Orca's were keeping their distance
This Grey whale is fluking-as it is called when they hit the water and only the tail remains out of the water.

This is one of the Gull rookeries in the ocean. These birds live out here all winter. Safe from all predators except the Bald Eagle which are plentiful.

this is a flock of one of the many sea birds - hard to get a good shot as the boat was continually moving and so were the birds as we approached them.
these porpoises were very playful and were around the boat for a while.
this area is the Steller Sea Lions rookery and there were several new births.
this is a Tufted Puffin -they are prevalent in the area
the Sea Otters just kept swimming around and looking at us. Click on it to make it larger and look at the face on them.
this Harbor Seal was sunning itself on the ice.
even the little birds use the ice bergs to sit in the ocean.
Toni and Remi in front of the Aialik Glacier
the water was so beautiful-a rich green color
the Pilot Rock is used as navigation and has lights on it
one of the great sights in the ocean along the Fjords
