Rhubarb left to go to seed can make some wonderful tasting squares- add ice cream and what a treat it was. This was a great treat. The rhubarb here is also used as lawn plants as the lower 48 have shrubs.

lots of carvings are done on ivory or bone -it is a big seller in Alaska and very beautiful, but expensive.

This young black bear crossed in front of the coach and did not slow down for a proper photo of itself. It got across the road and into the bushes quickly.
This big black bear was eating alongside the road. Nothing seemed to bother it, least of all us taking photos.

We bought a bug zapper to ward off the mosquitoes. You can see how big they are.

We ran across this carved wooden building on a drive. Look close at it and you can see angels and other things carved into it.
