We add Oregon to the list of states we have visited. This allows exploration of both Northern California and Oregon areas.
This is the Crescent City lighthouse. Unfortunately it was a rainy day so this is not the best. But you are sharing in what we saw and we like light houses so rain and all here it is. This was the city that had the Tsunami in 1965 (I think the yr is right) when the big earthquake hit Alaska.
This is a sign in Crescent City that you may not see in to may other places.
This is not Alaska, though we are going there the end of the month. This may have been perpetration we were not expecting when we did a day trip to Crater Lake Oregon. We actually had snow while we were there. The elevation is about 8000+. You can see the lake in the background, it was not real clear but is very beautiful.
The mountains at Truckee still have a lot of snow and it was down to ground level in several areas. Beautiful to look at, but don't want to live in it.
The sign for the Sundial bridge, seen below shows it was a gift to the city of Redding in 2004. It is a neat foot bridge.
At this point you should have seen the Shasta Caverns. However, this tug had to pull the pontoon boat we were on back to shore so all we had was s a ride across the lake and back. Below is the pontoon boat.
