This was Gladys' bedroom after Robert passed. She lived n the home 17 more years and left it with instructions in her will that it be a landmark for all to see. Some of the dolls here are over100 years old.
As you can see there are pillars in the home. There are 3 that serve to separate some of the rooms as well as for support. Robert used a hammer and chisel to level the floor. Gladys used them to put little shelves in the stone for ornaments to sit on.
Gladys completed the fireplace after he passed away.
They were both laid to rest in the rock garden area of the house rock.
Robert made the head of Lincoln on what was to be the patio on the roof of the house. It was to be 100 steps up from the inside, but he had a heart attack before he could finish it.
Robert loved Roosevelt and made this memorial in the side of the house.
