more New York memories

The forrests provide a lot of beauty as the leaves change.

While the beauty provided with the changing of the leaves is appreciated, the aftermath is not really something one looks forward to. As seen in this yard, and just think all the leaves are not yet on the ground. Your only hope is for a good strong wind to carry the work away.

The geese leaving the pond at our friends place in New York. The pond is in the trees and well protected from outside influences.

The colors are really starting to change as it gets cooler. A real good cold spell is needed to continue the process.

The pond is about 3 acres and I think it was full several days by view of the flocks we saw landing every night. What you see on the pond is goose feathers.

This fox was across the driveway from our coach in our friends front yard. He finally curled up like a dog in the sun until he was startled. He was around for several days. They have a den in the trees and are in the soy bean fields daily.

Our friends from Northern California came to visit also. Kathy found some stock to take home to her and Harry's ranch. Alas no way to get them on the plane.
