Philly, Arkansas and back to Texas

A stop in Philly to see some friends from the Alaska cruise

Locked up for safety on a Philly street-it is chained to the post.

Note the tree growing out of the bridge--a bit of dirt collected I would say.

One of the painted walls in Philly

The trains around Bert & Carols pool-there are three shown

A cool welcome from Bert and Carol for us.

Camping on the Mississippi

Lightening caught in one of the storms

2011 high water mark when the camp flooded

Cave City AR is known for the watermelons-they are very good.

Wall painting in the town.

A plant I need in our yard--it is a money plant.

The dirt road to my cousins-most roads of the main ones are dirt and long. Hate to travel them in the mud or winter.

Back home again.

Love the sunsets and sunrises

One of the strange things we have seen on our drives.

That must have been a lot of bull.

More of God's handy work in the sky.

Hibbing MN--a side trip out of sequence oops my bad

Known as the Grand Canyon of the North this pit mine provided nearly a fourth of all the iron ore produced in the US in the early 1900's. This is just a sampling of the photos we took. Massive equipment.

A quick trip through Canada into New York

A ship that went aground in a storm.

Someone did a nice painting on the side of this building.

A couple of shots of Lady Liberty and a light house seen from the Staten Island Ferry.

The city from the ferry ride.

This artist was working in sand near where you catch the Staten Island Ferry. Great work, but look out for the rain.

The Empire State Building's portrait that hangs inside the building.

An 18th Century Original of our emblem.
Bil is reaching for his share of "good luck" that is to go to those who rub the bull.

He made it to NYC and the subway stairs. Actually we walked all over the city.

The Freedom Building

Reflecting Absence Pools

The names of those that perished are on the edge of the Reflecting absence pools.

Bil in front of the Reflecting absence pool and the Freedom Tower.

The infamous bull of Wall Street.

This is why you do not drive in NYC. The cabs are crazy how they drive.
Following are several items from a park art display. There is a sign below to help with the understanding of the displays.

NYC on most Saturday nights goes crazy. An officer told me this was milder than usual.

Part of the park in NYC seen from a tour around the city.

This & the following are shots from the top of the Empire State Building 102 floors.

Down to Racquet Lake at our friends house in the Adirondacks.

Time for a chat with a couple of old friends.

Bil's fish.

Harry's fish.

Dick's fish.

A lone Loon on the lake.
Some of the hummingbirds that come to visit.
Enjoying a time of peace on the lake.

This tree ring would make an excellent painted watermelon slice. Mary it needs your talent for painting. One of the trees felled on there property.

There were varied types and colors of mushrooms in the forest around the lake house.

If you don't know where you are, look up the building will show the way.

Neat little cottage along the route out of New York area.
Locks on the way to our friends in New York

The coach is 12'6 so we made it --but no bouncing.

This sign was posted near a very old cemetery.
Some pretty flowers along the way--July and everything is in bloom.

Following are some interesting art pieces we saw in a park in NYC.
