Arkansas, Missouri and Iowa and on to MN.

Lots of flat farmland across Iowa.
There are lots of old cemeteries across the south.
So many old barns lay in ruins. At what point did someone say "it is not worth barn paint?"
Wild flowers can still be found if there has been sufficient rain.
This road side rest is done like Route 66 with all the same buildings as covers for the picnic tables.

Beautiful scenery is all around for the viewing eye.
"KFC here we come. "Arkansas is the chicken capital of the world according to a sign we saw.
The construction of this house is very unique.
An old military sign about the Civil war era in Arkansas.
Some of the campgrounds have some really nice landscaping.
Can't figure out why this tree needs a couple of mailboxes, there were no houses near.
The rain really poured off the awning. It was really coming down hard and ended with some small hail.
Don't go through a town having a parade. Unless of course it is the only road through the town.
Some of our terrain. A lot of up and down and curves along the way. In the car not to bad, but the coach not so much. LOL
In all our travels this is the first live Armadillo we have seen.
Apparently they go to great lengths to fix things at this business.
So would you lease this building for your business?
Sign says the road ends in 300 ft. Looks like it is across the lake as well. I'm thinking amphibious.
Together forever would be a good slogan for this town.
This was a neat old Civil war cemetery story and neat what later people did for them. They were all marked as unknown.

More Texas and a start to another summer of travel.

We ran across this neatly painted building in one of the little German towns.

I thought this was a novel sign for this business.
There are a lot of neat old buildings like this around Texas.
With all the clouds we get some really nice sunsets.
We ran across a herd of dear, but this was the neatest with the little one.
Some baby birds in a nest over the door of the office of the park we stayed in while in Boerne.
Our granddaughter is taking horse riding lessons.
Looks like a Christmas crop (sorghum) it is green with red on top as it ripens.
Sunset in the Mansfield Texas area.
